Pembroke Welsh Corgi

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an odd looking dog
only resembling other corgis. A peculiar shaped head
leads to their slightly long narrow muzzle. Slightly set
back in their head are two large round eyes usually brown
in color. While their body is strangely long, their legs
are unusually short. Their medium length soft fur covers
their body and comes in many colors including red, sable,
fawn, or black and tan these colors are often mixed with
white marks.The tail
is almost non-existent.
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has quite a muscular
little body and an inquisitive
expression.

Temperament:
The Pembroke Welsh Welsh Corgi looks similar to
a fox and has a similar temperament. The breed's body

along very well with other animals, especially if
socialized with them early. They love children of all
ages, but need to be socialized early. Otherwise they
will try to herd them by nipping at the heels. They are
loyal and seek to protect their family. They will bark to
alert their family of people or noises around the home.
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi may attack if they feel their
family is being threatened.
Exercise
needs:
Naturally active little dogs, they should always
be encouraged to remain so.
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi need daily brisk walks
to stay fit.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgis are extremely obedient
and easy to train. Corgis have
the right to receive proper training, so that their
relationship with humans and other animals won't be
marred by confusion and so they will not become dangerous
to themselves or others.

Origin:
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi originated in
Pembrokeshire Wales. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is one of
two dog breeds known as Welsh Corgis. Corgis are believed
to be descended from Swedish Vallhund dogs brought to
Wales by the Vikings. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are a
favorite of Queen Elizabeth II. They are still a
favorite pet, even though its popularity has fallen some
since the 1960s.
