Havanese are part of the Bichon canine family, but are a distinct breed. Havanese come in all colors and combinations of colors. The Havanese is a small sturdy dog of immense charm. He is slightly longer than tall. Their face is framed by medium length, feathered ears and have The dark eyes. The legs are strong and allow for free an easy movement.These dogs have a tail that curls over their backs. These breeds can see in to many color varieties as of White, cream, gold, silver, blue, black, parti-color, tri-color. They are very playful dogs and good with older, more considerate children.

Height Range: 8 inches to 11.5inches

Weight Range: 7 pounds to 13 pounds

 Temperament:

Havanese breeds are Playful and alert. The Havanese is an intelligent breed with a sweet, non-quarrelsome disposition. They are very cheerful dogs and very sociable. They get along with everyone including people, dogs, cats and other pets. Havanese are also good watch dogs.This dog likes to be affectionate and enjoys receiving fuss and attention.

 Exercise needs:

These are playful and outgoing little dogs, but they do not require a great deal of exercise. These breeds will often amuse themselves just running around the home.

 Trainability:

The Havanese is both trainable and intelligent. These dogs are also very eager little creatures, and very enthusiastic. Probably because it learns quickly and enjoys doing things for people, training can be easy. The Havanese possesses a very keen mind and sharp wit. More often than not, they are quick to learn obedience commands, as well as tricks. His lack of seriousness can sometimes grate on the nerves of the more serious dog trainers.

 Nutrition & Diet:

A balanced diet is important whether feeding a commercial dog food or home prepared meals. Havaneses are a toy dog whose daily food requirement is quite small. If your Havanese is not eating his whole portion of food, it may be that he has had enough to eat and is not hungry. If they are hungry, they will eat.

 Living conditions:

Havanese are good for apartment life. This dog will be fine without a garden. They are very active indoors and will do okay without a yard.

 Life expectancy: 

The life expectancy for this particular breed is 12 – 16 years.

 Origin:

This interesting little breedoriginates from Havana, in Cuba, and was bred originally as a lapdog and performer. Its origins can be dated back to antiquity. The Havanese is also known by the other name of the Bichon Havanais. This dog's name is often mis-spelt as Havenese.
