and well-muscled dogs. Their faces are unmistakable

Height 'n Weight
Height: 15-17 inches (38.1-43cm.)
Weight: 10-25 pounds
(4.5-11.3kg.)
Temperament
While originally bred for fighting, they were
later down bred for companionship. The modern Boston
terrier can be gentle, alert, expressive, and
well-mannered. Many still retain the spunky attitude of
the typical terrier. It must be noted however, that they
are not considered terriers by the American Kennel Club,
but are part of the non-sporting group. Boston Terrier is
something of a misnomer. They were originally a
cross-breed between the
Old English Bulldog and
the
English White Terrier Both of these breeds are now
extinct.
Some Boston's enjoy having another one for
companionship. Both females and males generally bark only
when necessary. Having been bred as a companion dog, they
enjoy being around people, and, if properly socialized,
get along well with children, the elderly, other canines,
and non-canine pets. Boston Terriers can be very cuddly,
while others are more independent

keep the Boston terrier in shape a long daily walk and
sessions of free play in a fenced-in yard. They are
fairly light weight and can easily be
carried.
Trainability
The
Boston Terrier is not only excellent with adults but also
with children and other family pets. Because this breed
is so smart and willing to please, Boston terrier
training is typically fun and easy. Remember, the Boston
Terrier is smart and enthusiastic. Because of this desire
to please, you should have little difficulty with
training. Boston Terrier as a puppy, it is important that
you begin early socialization, which means providing tons
of love, affection, and discipline.

The
Boston terrier can be greedy, and his
food portions should therefore be monitored to avoid
weight gain and other health issues. A dry, quality dog
food fed twice daily will provide the necessary nutrient
and keep your dog’s teeth in good condition. As with all
dogs, there should always be access to fresh, clean
water.
Living conditions
The
Boston Terrier is an indoor dog that needs moderate
temperatures and plenty of affection and
attention. The breed is suited to both houses and
apartments, and exercise can entail a running and playing
in the garden (if you have one) as well as walks and
plenty of interactive games.
Life expectancy
A healthy Boston
Terrier can live well in to his
teens,
and the average lifespan is around 13-15
years. Obviously, general overall health, diet, and
living conditions will contribute to the individual dog’s
lifespan.
Origin
The Boston Terrier
originates from the Unites States
and is
thought to have originated from the French Bulldog and White
English Terrier.
